About SEQUENCE

SEQUENCE is aimed at catering to the growing interest in quantum computing and related developments all around the world. The primary motivation behind the inaugural edition in SEQUENCE 2026 lies in the fact that it will enable quantum computing researchers to showcase their novel and intelligent initiatives in this direction. This initiative also aligns with 2025 being declared as the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology by the United Nations.

Prospective authors are invited to submit original and unpublished research papers [minimum 14 pages] following the standard Springer Microsoft Word (US Letter)/ LaTeX2e templates. The symposium focuses on a range of diverse research fields, including, but not limited to:

The Microsoft CMT service was used for managing the peer-reviewing process for this conference. This service was provided for free by Microsoft and they bore all expenses, including costs for Azure cloud services as well as for software development and support.
All submissions will be thoroughly peer-reviewed by experts based on originality, significance and clarity.

Publication

The proceedings of SEQUENCE 2026 will be published in the Springer Book Series on Communications in Computer and Information Science

The main campus of VSB-TUO is situated in the very pleasant surroundings of Poruba - in the vicinity of a forest, with paths for in-line skating or cycling. The campus is linked by the public transport to other parts of Ostrava, even at night. Ostrava is very well accessible not only by train, but, now that the motorway has been completed, also by bus and car.

Direct trains to Ostrava:
Prague – Ostrava-Svinov (3 hours) – the most frequent connection on the train line
Brno – Ostrava-Svinov (2 hours 30 minutes)
Vienna – Ostrava-Svinov (3 hours)
There are 3 companies operating trains within the Czech Republic: Ceske drahy, Leo Express, RegioJet. Please buy a train ticket at the desk of the operator before boarding a train or online in advance. Get off the train at the railway station Ostrava-Svinov, which is closest to the campus. By Tram

If you arrive at the Ostrava-Svinov train station please continue to the tram stop “Svinov Mosty h.z.” (3 minutes walk) and take a tram number 7, 8, 9, 17 direction “Vresinska”. Get off the tram at the stop “Hlavni trida”.
If you arrive to Ostrava´s main train station (Ostrava hl.n. = hlavni nadrazi) take a tram number 8 (direction Vresinska) and get off the tram at the stop “Hlavni trida”.
